About Marlene Zaedyan

Marlene Zaedyan is a Lebanese-born writer of Armenian descent, whose family history carries the scars of forced migration following the Armenian Genocide. Growing up during the Lebanese Civil War, she developed a profound and sensitive perspective on resilience and survival—central themes in her book, Nine Lives Endless Dreams: A Survivor’s Story of Genocide and War.

Beyond her writing, Marlene is a devoted mother to two sons with special needs, a daughter, and a proud grandmother of two. She is married and shares her home with Mango, her beloved dog. A vegetarian for over 30 years, she has a degree in Chinese Medicine and various certifications in holistic therapies. Her love for travel fuels her curiosity about different cultures, and recently, she has taken joy in baking treats for her family’s delight.

Marlene also speaks seven languages, a testament to her deep appreciation for cultural diversity and connection. Her work is a reflection of her life’s journey, intertwining memories, spirituality, and the strength of the human spirit.
